The boy who set out to make his dream a success was none other than Dr. Atul Krishna, who was still in his sophomore year at LLRM Medical College, Meerut at that time. Armed with a post graduate degree in General Surgery, Dr. Krishna soon set out to realize his dream which had already taken shape in his mind.
The dream was to establish such institutions of education and training that would produce highly skilled graduates and masters of academic excellence in every field and all aspects of life.
Graced with fore vision, versatility, a genius mind and gifted with a vibrant and vivacious personality, Dr. Atul Krishna is not only a reputed surgeon of Northern India but is also a great philanthropist, a learned thinker, visionary and a committed, staunch social reformer, dedicated to the upliftment of the downtrodden and weaker sections of society. Dr. Atul Krishna is the founder of SUBHARTI, a duly registered body, engaged in social service and various other activities. He has also established several primary, secondary level schools and rural hospitals in the remotest villages.
(Late) Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar was a dynamic, versatile, charismatic, and multidimensional personality. A Professor of Medicine and a teacher of high acclaim and repute, she made an indelible mark in the field of medical education and healthcare. Born in the holy city of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, into a prestigious family of educators, doctors, and civil servants, her future as a dedicated medical professional seemed naturally destined. She completed her graduation (MBBS) and post-graduation (MD in General Medicine) from M.L.N. College, Allahabad.
Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar served as Professor of Medicine at Subharti Medical College and was a beloved teacher, widely respected for her professional competence, deep knowledge, and exceptional calibre.
Her commitment to continuous learning led her to pursue additional qualifications, including Post Graduate Diplomas in Maternal and Child Health and in Geriatric Medicine from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.
A multi-talented individual, she shone equally in extra-curricular pursuits—debates, declamations, dramatics, Indian classical music (vocal and instrumental), dance, fine arts, and athletics. She also undertook a course in Imaging Techniques at Blackpool, Preston, and at Southampton Royal Hospital in the United Kingdom. She was invited as a Resource Person by the National Institute of Social Defence to lecture students enrolled in six-month and one-year Diploma Courses on Integrated Geriatric Care.
Dr. Bhatnagar had the rare honour of representing India by delivering lectures on “Physical Disability in the Elderly” and “Physical Rehabilitation: Disabilities in Old Age” before esteemed audiences from SAARC member countries in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
She was also a Director at Lokpriya Hospital, a 150-bedded super-speciality hospital, and served as the Senior Medical Superintendent of the 1044-bedded Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital, Meerut.

On the national medical stage, she delivered a guest lecture on “Hippocratic Oath: Revisiting in the Present Medical Scenario” at the 68th APICON 2013 (National Conference) in Coimbatore, and authored a chapter in the API Medical Update Vol. 23, Chapter 149, on the same topic.

Together, they nurtured the dream of establishing a prestigious seat of learning. Their enduring passion for education is reflected in the flourishing ecosystem of Subharti University, which now houses fifteen reputed Institutes of higher learning and professional excellence.
Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar’s legacy continues to inspire generations of learners, educators, and healthcare professionals. Her memory remains etched in the heart of the Subharti family and the academic and medical fraternity at large.
Dr. Shalya Raj did her graduation from SDM College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad & completed her Master’s in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics from Subharti Dental College. Her Keen interest in academics was reflected in the fact that she has published numerous research papers, articles, and books early in her career.
She is also the guide to a few selected students pursuing research. She is a popular teacher, academician, good clinician, and above all, a dedicated human being. It is these qualities that make her an integral part of all cultural and social events of the university. She is a trained Kathak dancer & Hindi classical singer & her efforts have won her various accolades in the Eld-field of painting, craft & drama.
Dr. Shalya has received over 27 awards for her work in the social academic field.” The Empower women prosperous India Award.” by Globe Media.' Under her guidance,' The Trust' received the award of 'Globe Peace Ambassador Conferred by IBEIYAAAED. The Trust also received appreciation for donations to the 'Army Welfare Fund' and the 'CM RELIEF FUND' Uttarakhand.
Most recently the university was nominated among the top 9 centers in the field of social work. She is an active trustee of the MTV Trust. Realizing her sense of purpose and a state of direction, the board of trustees has nominated her as the CEO of the University.
